The company keeps its dedicated and highly trained salvage professionals and specialized equipment in a state of round-the-clock readiness to respond instantly to incidents anywhere in the world. In order to achieve this high-level of readiness the company employs over 200 experts worldwide; Salvage Masters, Salvage Supervisors, Naval Architects, Divers, Riggers, Logistics Experts etc. In addition, the company can rely on the on the commitment of a wide range of specialists available globally within parent company Royal Boskalis Westminster, a leading global dredging and marine expert. Specialist personnel such as civil & marine engineers, workability analysts, environmental & marine biology specialists, unexploded ordnance disposal teams, dredging specialists, heavy lifting & transport specialists etc. can be added to our project teams if required. Furthermore through affiliated companies additional services, assets and/or vessels for heavy lifting, heavy marine transport and towage can be provided. The Boskalis fleet consists in total of over 1.100 versatile vessels, strategically distributed around the globe.
SMIT Salvage has five strategic emergency response warehouses on strategic locations worldwide where specialist salvage equipment are prepared for immediate mobilization. This equipment is packed in containers suitable for air transportation. The company constantly invests in the new-/replacement of salvage equipment and in the development of new salvage tools and appliances.
